Serengeti National Park is Tanzania’s oldest and famous wildlife sanctuary. Named Siringet in Maasai language meaning “endless plains” is known for the annual great migration, the breathtaking event on earth each year which comprise zebra, gazelles and wildebeest over 1.5 million that migrate from southern plains of the park to reach Masai Mara National Reserve searching green pasture and fresh water.

The park situated northern side of the country with distance of 330km from Arusha. Covering an area of approximately 14763km sq the Serengeti extends from Ngorongoro southern to Masai Mara Kenya to northern. This endless plains dotted with acacia trees and rock outcrops named kopjes inhabited with varieties of wild animals.

Serengeti is home of predators include leopard, lion, cheetah, hyena, jackal and leopard. Other species include elephants, hartebeest, topi, hippos, crocodile and over 550 bird species.
