5 Days Safari Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater
Day 1: Kilimanjaro airport - Arusha city
Pick up from Kilimanjaro airport and transfer to Arusha city for overnight stay before starting safari the next day.
Arusha is surrounded by some of Africa's most famous landscapes and national parks. Situated below Mount Meru on the eastern edge of the eastern branch of the Great Rift Valley, it has a mild climate and is close to Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Olduvai Gorge, Tarangire National Park, and Mount Kilimanjaro, as well as having its own Arusha National Park on Mount Meru.
Day 2: Arusha - Serengeti National Park
After morning breakfast drive to Serengeti National Park, upon arrival game en-route while proceeding to the lodge / tented camp for dinner and overnight.
During December, January and February you can enjoy wildebeest migration with large herds of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle within southern plains of Serengeti the Ndutu plains. Also there are plenty of resident animals, such as giraffe, buffalo, elephants and large predators such as lion, cheetah, and leopard in the park.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park. (Full Day)
Full day safari in Serengeti National Park with option for morning and afternoon game viewing. Serengeti is World’s most famous national park located in Northern Tanzania covering 14,763 sq km and is adjoining with Masai Mara National reserve in Kenya. With a wildebeest population of about 2 million and several other hoofed species (which include zebra, Thomson’s gazelle, impala, topi, Grants gazelle, Kongoni, Eland, Kirk’s dik dik, klipspringer, roan, Oryx, oribi, waterbuck, buffalo, giraffe, elephant and warthog), the Serengeti is sure to attract a string of prey such as lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, golden jackals and bat eared foxes. Black rhinoceros are also seen mostly around Moru kopjes area. Serengeti also offers rewarding bird viewing with over 450 species include ostrich, kori bustard, variety of larks, finches, raptors, lilac breasted roller and others. Dinner and overnight Serengeti.
Day 4: Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for game viewing inside crater with picnic lunch. Upon arrival descend down to the crater floor for game viewing safari.
Ngorongoro Crater is often called Africa’s Eden and the 8th Natural Wonder of the World, found within Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA). Ngorongoro Crater was formed some 2.5 million years ago from a volcanic mountain sinking due to inactivity, and was initially thought to be higher than Tanzania’s famous Kilimanjaro. The crater has evolved into a unique and integral part of Tanzania’s ecosystem. The crater is actually a caldera, measures 22.5 km’s across and the rim walls stand 610m high. Views from within and from the rim are breathtaking. Ngorongoro crater is home to 30,000 animals and a large variety of birds, which rarely move from the area due to the availability of water through wet and dry seasons. Dinner and overnight Ngorongoro.
Day 5 : Ngorongoro - Arusha - Departure
After morning breakfast drive back to Arusha city for hot lunch then proceed to Kilimanjaro airport for flight.
Arusha is a major international diplomatic hub located northern part of Tanzania. The city hosts and is regarded as the de facto capital of the East African Community. Since 1994, the city has also hosted the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. It is a multicultural city with a majority African population, Arab, Indian, European and American.
